Why we call it Two Hand Time.

Two Hand Time is named for those moments, when both hands are free to focus on one thing and make something real. We think kids deserve that kind of time too. Not a screen to watch, but something to hold, turn over and work out for themselves.

That’s the whole idea behind 2HT: give them something worth figuring out.

What we make

Tactile wooden games and puzzles for kids who like to figure things out. Each one is simple enough to try on day one, with enough depth to come back to next month. No batteries, no required apps, no flashing lights.

What we believe

Kids are capable.

We design for what children can work out, not what they need to be told. Interesting enough to start together. Simple enough to keep going alone. With options to scale how challenging the game gets as they improve.

Real materials matter.

Wood has weight, grain and warmth. It feels good in the hand, it holds up to real use, and it looks like it belongs on the shelf.

Less telling. More discovering.

The best part of a puzzle is the moment it clicks. We leave that moment to them.

Who is behind 2HT?

2HT is a small family business in rural southwest Ohio, run by James and Denae. We’ve been married for over 10 years, have four kids, and keep quite a few ducks as well.

One thing we realized early on while homeschooling our kids is the power of games. Games and puzzles teach endless lessons, build strategic thinking, and provide hours of exploration and fun. We started trying new games, often with nothing more than paper cutouts and markers, and figured other parents would enjoy introducing them to their kids too.

Maybe you’re adding new games and puzzles to your homeschool routine, growing their mind through strategic play, or just looking for something new to do together. Either way, 2HT makes games you can start together that also build their confidence to play solo.
