What ages are 2HT games for?
Each game lists a recommended age range. PicTumble is designed for ages 3 to 5, and GrainGrid for ages 4 to 8. Every kid is different, so treat the range as a starting point, not a rule.
Are these Montessori toys?
They’re Montessori-inspired: hands-on, made from real materials, and designed so kids can come back to them on their own. We’re not affiliated with any Montessori organization. We just like the idea that kids learn a lot by doing.
Do they need batteries, screens or an app?
No. No batteries, no screens, no app. Just the pieces and a good problem.
How hard are they?
Each game starts simple so kids can get a win early, then offers bigger challenges as they’re ready. Start together. Eventually, they’ll send you away.
When can I buy them?
Soon. The first games are in production now. Join the email list and you’ll hear the moment they’re available.
Materials and care
What are the games made of?
Real wood. We’ll list the exact wood, finish and any other materials on each product page before it goes on sale.
Are they safe for young children?
Each product page lists its recommended age range and any warnings. Some games contain small parts, so always follow the age guidance on the box and supervise younger children during play.
How do I clean wooden pieces?
Wipe them with a lightly damp cloth and let them air dry. Please don’t soak them or put them in the dishwasher. Keeping them out of long stretches of direct sunlight helps colors stay true.

Where do you ship?
Within the United States for now. We hope to add more countries later.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping options and delivery estimates are shown at checkout. You’ll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.
What’s your return policy?
You can return unused items in their original packaging within 30 days of delivery. See Shipping & Returns for the details.
My order arrived damaged. What now?
Sorry about that. Email james@twohandtime.com within 3 business days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we’ll make it right.
